2degrees two-for-two for mobile phone carrier awards

2012 Award for Hire Cars2degrees have been awarded our most satisfied customers award for their mobile phone carrier network for the second year running, according to our recent survey results.

Telecom, Vodafone and TelstraClear were also rated in these results, with 2degrees receiving five stars across all rated criteria. 2degrees wasn’t the only five star performer though, with Telecom also receiving a five star rating for the reliability of its service.

However, the telco’s supremacy wasn’t the only discovery made by our research.

We found that one in five New Zealanders regularly used a hands-free kit or loudspeaker to reduce the amount of time they spent holding their phone up to their ear.

Results also showed females were particularly wary of the potentially negative health effects associated with mobile phones, with 19% going out of their way to avoid carrying their mobile phone in a pocket next to their body due to possible health risks. Interestingly, only nine percent of males shared the same health concerns.

Canstar Blue commissions Your Source to regularly survey 2,500 New Zealand consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from mobile phone carrier customers who have an active mobile phone plan in their name, where they pay the bills – in this case, 1461 people.

Brands must receive at least 30 responses to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands that received three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
