Our review compares telecommunications providers on customer satisfaction, so you can discover what other Kiwis think about our compared providers before you pick one to help keep your small business connected. Think of it like asking hundreds of your friends and colleagues which small business telecommunications provider they think is best.
Canstar Blue surveyed 682 Kiwis who had paid for a mobile phone/broadband service for business purposes in the past 12 months and asked for their feedback on their provider.
Respondents rate their satisfaction with their small business telecommunications providers from zero to ten, where zero is extremely dissatisfied and ten is extremely satisfied. Brand satisfaction was rated by respondents on the following criteria:
The winning telco brand is the one that receives the highest Overall Satisfaction rating once all the scores from the Overall Satisfaction criteria are combined and averaged.

This is the first time that One NZ has won our Business Telco Award, and it does so with a great set of scores from its customers. It’s the only telco to earn a top 5-Star rating for Overall Satisfaction and it’s a rating One NZ achieves across a further three categories: Billing, Flexibility of Contract and Network Performance.

It’s no surprise that Value for Money is the biggest concern for small business owners when rating their satisfaction levels with their telco providers, besting both Network Performance (26%) and Customer Service (24%).

Bruce Pitchers is Canstar NZ’s Content Manager. Canstar Blue surveyed 702 New Zealand consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction, via ISO 26362 accredited research panels managed by PureProfile. The outcomes reported are the results from small business owners with mobile phone account(s) and/or fixed broadband with the same provider. In this case, 682 New Zealanders.
Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands receiving three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10. Not all brands available in the market have been compared in this survey. The ratings table is first sorted by star ratings and then by mean overall satisfaction. A rated brand may receive a ‘N/A’ (Not Applicable) rating if it does not receive the minimum number of responses for that criterion.
